By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. These terms are written to be readable — they are not legal advice to you, and they don't replace a signed agreement for paid work.

1. The website

This site is a personal and professional website for Mohammed Refat. Content is provided for information and education. It is not engineering, financial, legal or career advice for your specific situation, and you should not treat it as a substitute for professional advice.

2. Services

Coaching, architecture reviews and interview preparation are described on the site with starting prices. Actual scope, deliverables, schedule and price are agreed in writing before work begins. Either side can decline an engagement for any lawful reason.

3. Payments and refunds

Where a fee applies, payment terms are set out in the engagement agreement or invoice. Unless that agreement says otherwise:

• Sessions are payable in advance and can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.
• Cancellations inside 24 hours may be charged in full.
• Completed sessions and delivered reviews are non-refundable.

4. No guarantee of outcomes

Coaching and reviews are advice and analysis, not promises. I don't guarantee a promotion, a job offer, a passing interview, a specific system performance figure or any business result. Decisions and their consequences remain yours.

5. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when you contact me or book work.
• Don't share data you have no right to share. Redact secrets, cardholder data and personal information before sending diagrams or code.
• Don't use this site to break the law, spam, scrape at scale, or attempt to disrupt it.

6. Intellectual property

The writing, design, copy and code of this site belong to Mohammed Refat unless credited otherwise. You may quote short excerpts with a link back. Republishing whole articles, or using the content to train commercial models without permission, isn't allowed. Materials I provide during a paid engagement are licensed to you for internal use unless we agree otherwise.

7. Confidentiality

Anything you share in a paid engagement is treated as confidential and won't be repeated publicly without permission. I may mention the general nature of the work (for example "a payments team") if you agree to a reference.

8. Third-party links

The site links to LinkedIn, newsletter platforms and other sites. I don't control them and I'm not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. Availability

The site is provided as-is, and I don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. The chat assistant is automated, can be wrong, and should not be relied on for decisions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or from advice given, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes will first be discussed in good faith; failing that, they belong to the competent courts of Cairo.

12. Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page shows the current version, and continued use of the site means you accept the update.
